August

A new destination for this month of August: the African continent ! After some researches, I found an extraordinary owl named Pel's fishing Owl. The general colour of her feathers makes me think to the sand and the warmth that emanates from it....contrarily to the coldness contained in her eyes!
She lives in the sub-Saharan area. Mali is one of the countries where she has been observed. So the monument you can see behind the owl is the Great Mosque of Djenné, built with sun-baked mud bricks.
