Frank glance

Three days were needed to realize this Osprey which has remained in my mind since I saw him in a book from the library. He had disappered from France in the 19th century. Today great efforts are done to help him to adapt in several regions of our country. I try to transmit through my painting all the greatness and majesty emanating from this beautiful fish-eater bird of prey.
I encounter two main difficulties, which are reccurent in each of my paintings: the respect of the right proportions and  the representation of the plumage (so essential for a bird !).

Osprey - Pandion haliaetus- Balbuzard pêcheur

Now, I think it is time to turn my interest towards the new page of my calendar for July....
