One month, One photo: May 2013

...on the look-out...

Each year, we can observe Ibexes ( not sure about the plural form...), or mountain sheeps ("bouquetin"), going down the mountain to find fresh green grass in Champagny-le Haut. Spectacular !

  1. The English language is so full of strange contradictions!

The plural of Ibex is still Ibex, and the plural of Sheep is still Sheep . . but how could you know that when most other animals would have an 's' on the end? Goat=Goats, Cow=Cows, Horse=Horses, Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Birds . . but not Sheep (and not Ibex)!!

Great picture of him on the steep slope (is that snow?)

    1. I have forgotten it for "sheep"...English courses are so far now...thank you for the correction ! French language is quite complex too, you can ask to my children!!

You're right about the snow: it remains some mostly in the summits and on the northern side of the mountains. Winter was very generous this year and even last week, it snowed again!

    2. Mais je suis sûr qu'ils parlent mieux le français que moi!!!
(ha!, I cheated, google translate came to my rescue once again!)

Merci beaucoup pour votre réponse, Phil ^..^

  2. Good job, the translater! very useful indeed, I confess !
