Little Creatures

This insect is known as "Rosalie des Alpes", an inhabitant of our surroundings but very rare. In fact, I would be very pleased to meet this blue insect....

Another specimen which I would like to encounter face to face in the Great Ocean would be the Seahorse.....  In  france we call him "hyppocampe" and he is the one we have chosen for the letter "H" of the alphabet painting:

  1. oh i love your little seahorse - so sweet!

in answer to your question on my blog, those are mountains on Vancouver Island, not the Rockies. i don't think we have any fresh snow yet - what you see is a glacier and also snow still from last spring (we had a very heavy snowpack and some of it has never melted). thanks for stopping by!
